Compassion
International
Glad has partnered with Compassion International since 1985, and
the group has traveled to Haiti, Ecuador, Mexico, Kenya, and Indonesia
to see Compassion's work first hand. We enthusiastically commend
their ministry to you. Compassion International is an evangelical
Christian child development ministry dedicated to addressing the
needs of children around the world, including those in the United
States. More than a relief program, Compassion focuses on the real
life needs of children -- spiritual, physical, economic and social.
Compassion's programs provide tangible benefits such as education,
health monitoring and food when necessary, as well as developmental
opportunities that can include formal schooling, skills training,
health education, presenting of the Gospel, and motivation to acquire
meaningful social skills. In short Compassion's programs help release
children from poverty, and enable them to become fulfilled Christian
adults.
Compassion teams up with local churches and church-related projects
in viable communities to implement its programs. Project staff workers
are trained members of the community, and become acquainted "one-to-one"
with the children and their families. This enables Compassion programs
to provide directed and specific assistance to children as needed.
Desiring
God Ministries
A megaphone of Bethlehem Baptist Church (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
aimed at the wider Christian church and world seeking to make Biblical
truth heard. Bethlehem Baptist is the home of Pastor and author,
John Piper. We have benefited greatly from his books and sermons.
Sovereign
Grace Ministries (formerly PDI)
A movement of approximately 50 local churches in the U.S., Mexico,
Canada, the U.K. and the Philippines, Sovereign Grace Ministries'
primary purpose is to establish and nurture local churches to God's
glory. Bob Kauflin, who writes and arranges much of Glad's music
is Worship Pastor at Covenant Life Church (the "flagship"
SGM church) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Bob is also the Director
of Worship Development for Sovereign Grace Ministries.
Provident
Music Distribution
Glad's latest release, Pure
and Holy Passion (July 2002), is on Spirit-Led Records, one
of Provident Music Group's many labels. The Store
Finder page at Provident Music Distribution's web site provides
links to a number of major Christian bookstore chains, some of which
provide a mechanism for a store search in your area. Most previous
Glad titles were also released through PMD or one of its sub-labels
(Benson or Diadem). However, as Christian bookstores now tend to
stock only the latest releases, it has become increasingly difficult
to find older Glad titles. Voices

The Bridge Christian Radio
The mission of The Bridge christian radio station is to reach the Metro NY/NJ area with the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
